The FORD logo badge (the oval) on the back of the Gal has perished and the logo has started to flake off. It looks pretty messy on a 2 year old car.

 

Anyone know somewhere I can get one cheap and how do you replace the badge?

I have to say that in the past few weeks, I have noticed loads of new-shape Galaxys with faded/decaying Ford badges on the tailgates. I wonder if this size one is unique to the Galaxy and if there is a manufacturing problem at the supplier? (just like the interior door handle pulls.....)

In my view, get onto FORD Customer Services and ask them for a replacement free of charge - warranty or not. You could add that you know of a number of others with similar problems (vis this forum) and it's not a very good advertisment for the quality of the car.

 

If they're anything like SEAT Customer Services, you'll end up feeling it's all your fault! Hoever, we shouldn't put up with this poor quality.

Don't know where you live in the country but any one down in Hertfordshire can try

the Gates website. I'll give them a line to see if I can get one for you as I got mine from them a month ago.

The badge is only stuck on to a flat surface, so if its looking rough! why not just remove it full stop and not replace it? after all its going to fall apart again in the end!

Contatcted Gates of Ford and they stated that the badge can be replaced under warranty, obviously depending where you purchased the vehicle but if it is under three years old then there is no reason why one cannot get it replaced for free. As long as it does not show any sign of tampering around the edges then it should be no problem.

Apparently eurocarsepson are no more :-(

 

Just called their no and was told that somebody else had moved into their showroom
