b11rme Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Hi hope you guys can help...... My galaxy has got a visteon media system, it has the screens in the headrest and vcr player in the back (which is jamming). so i brought a Visteon DVD player to fit in between the two front seat, under the media unit, however the DVD player has 2x 22 pin plugs comming out of it, none of these fit into the black box. is there a connector avaiable for this, also im suprised that 2x 22 pin plugs go into one plug. hope someone can help thanks Quote
gregers Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 id try maplins to see if theres a conector that will fit??. Quote
Mirez Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 id try maplins to see if theres a conector that will fit??. Not a chance mate, visteon use their own connectors. There are at least 2 versions of the DVD player though, and later ones were linked to a "controller assembly" and came with a keycode just like the radios. Its highly probably you have the wrong DVD player for the system you have in the car - it should just connect direct into the media controller Quote

Gadgetoid Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 The MB-8008 DVD player is the one used for the Mk3 ( 'True Ford' ) Galaxy's from 2006 onwards. For those Galaxy's that are rebadged Sharan 's ie Mk 2 ( 2000 - 2006 ) the DVD player unit is a Visteon MB-8000 Quote

Mirez Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 you need to turn the radio on to power the screens then the radio can be turned off, i think this is to prevent the screens from flattening the battery Leave the radio on! The media system needs the feed to run, without it it'll turn back off 30 seconds after the radios switched off. Quote
