wolves Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 i now this mite sound silly but whats the best way to get rid of stale water in the washer bottle. i have used up the water by washing the windscreen and then filled up but still there apart from getting the hose pipe or jet wash out and in the process drowning the engine (best not to go there) is there any other way? ;) Quote
frogeye Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I have used some kind of water pipe purifier on the internal water supply pipes of my caravan with a fair degree of success, you should be able to pick some up from camping/caravanning shop. You put it in the main reservoir, circulate it through the pipes then leave for 24 hours and flush out.Frogeye Quote
big_kev Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Milton's Fluid works fine. p.s. don't use the cheapo halfrauds washer fluid as it stinks after a while and takes ages to get rid of the smell. Quote
mikej Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) I know what Big kev is talking about my washer fluid smell like next doors cat has peed in it( Halfords own never again), it absolutely stinks like hell the only problem being i've got almost a gallon to go  i think i will have to go down the Milton fluid road myself.
