dkphotoman Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Hi , can anyone tell me where the alarm horn is on my 2001 galaxy as it keeps going off on its own in the middle of the night and upsetting the neighbours. If i just disconnect it that would save me !!!!Help !!! Quote
Floydey Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 If you use your remote key to central-lock your doors try pressing the lock button twice. This will lock the doors, activate the alarm, then deactivate the alarm. I understand you can do the same with the key in the lock by "locking" the doors twice. Quote
mikej Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 As above, shut the doors put key in drivers door and turn towards the rear of car to lock, do this again straight after and the indicators will flash and your alarm is disarmed. Have to do this every day with the dog in the car.A word of warning though many years ago on another car i had a similar problem with alarm sounding in middle of night after walking down three flights of stairs three times in as many nights i decided to pull the bloody wire off the horn, on the morning of the fourth day i was passing my car in the morning to get a paper when i could hear a clicking noise from my car on further investigation i noticed some little sh1t had knicked my stereo :o Well even i laughed, sorry just thought i would share that! ;) Quote
Bigjeeze Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 It's under the front of the dash - you can get at it from under the bonnet by removing the tray as if you were changing the cabin filter. Quote

Do you mean under the black trim next to windscreen washers/wipers ? Edited September 29, 2009 by dkphotoman Quote
