Electric Window Direction Reversed From Dash Switch And Central Lockin

I have just had the rear o/s window regulator and motor replaced on my 96 V6. The replacement part was sourced from a breaker from another mk1 gal, but I am unsure of the year and model.

 

The window works correctly from the door switch. However, the operation direction is in reverse from the dashboard switch. I can put up with that, but

Ok. So are you thinking I've actually been sent the part for a Mk2?

as you say the motor works in all ways (just not the correct way),i:e on the buttons and on global then wires through the rubber boot could possible be ruled out,also cant see how the electric block could be put on the wrong way round(but do check).

think you need to obtain the correct part numbers for your model and check to see if your new 1 matches the codes for the mk1,also cannot see if the wrong side could be fitted but again think you need to take a looksie.

Just to confirm, operation from the door switch is perfect. Dash switch and C/L is incorrect.

 

My ideal solution would be there is a way to change the wiring to correct the operation. Rather than have to obtain another unit, remove the current unit, courier it back to the breakers and get a refund, etc. This is the second replacement part so far, first one was completely duff.

 

Any idea where I could obtain a wiring diagram from?

yes thats the tool,or just give it a good tug,but be aware about bending the door card and also you will no doubt break the trim clips(like i did)dealers sell them.

i think you need to do some checking on the wiring,on ebay there is a thing called tis disk for the galaxy,it is technical information and contains vast info on our cars and others.on there should be the correct diagrams needed.
