the rear door/hatch? if so? the rear hatch can be removed from the central locking system by turning the key in the lock, I forget which way you have to turn it but I'm sure someone will be along who does? either that or the cabes to the rear hatch have gone! loads of posts on this topic so hit the search engine and have fun :lol:

Yep wiring in the rubber boot at the top of the tailgate on the drivers side, just sorted this today on my Alhambra. Found 2 broken wires. Handle now opens tailgate - yippee!

 

Now onto the other 1001 things that need doing!

yep i had this problem too open the rubber at the top of the boot and had about 6 broken wires now i have a rear wiper that works too!

thanks for all the help so far. i have had a look at the wires in the rubber boot and they all seem fine,any other possible faults i could look at? thanks in advance

yep look again carefully,there are posts where on closer inspection the wires have snapped inside so appere ok on the outside.
