When you turn the ignition on, do you hear the Diesel pump "click" and does the glow plug light come on?

No Glow Plug Indication....?? then it looks like the now imfamous relay 109.

You can check this by running a wire from the top of the diesel pump direct to the +ve terminal of the battery.

If the car then starts Ok, my guess would be this relay.

Lots of info on the forum about it, its a very common problem.

Lots of good info here... http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=199398.

Look towards the bottom of situation 1 (left hand side )...post number 2 (right hand side).

and for a pic of the diesel pump connection, situation 5....post number 6.

Hope this may be of some help.

Nice one....

although if its "just cleared", it really could be relay 109 fault.

If this relay fails, it will occasionally "fix" itself and all will be ok for a while.

If you have trouble again, keep an eye out for that glow plug light!!

Hope its fixed. !
