simondan1 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Hi all Ive got 1 remote key with two buttons and 1 normal key for my Galaxy. Do i need to purchase extra keys to be able to follow the steps in the FAQ s to get the remote key i have working.? The two keys both start the car. Kind Regards Simon Quote
big_kev Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 No you do not need any extra keys. The need for at least 2 keys is just to enable a new key to work with the immobiliser. Both your keys are ok. However it is likely that your remote may be faulty ( or has flat bettery ).You could try reprogramming it to the car as per the FAQ. If changing the battery be careful that the PAT's chip does not fall out as this will stop the key from starting the car. Quote

simondan1 Posted August 16, 2009 Author Report Posted August 16, 2009 Thanks Big Kev Managed to reprogramme the one remote key I have. Going to get another one so we have two. Any ideas where we can get a cheaper one from other than main dealer. Quote
big_kev Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Try a well known online auction site  Quote
