Sunroof Problem With A Nice Piccy

I Have attached a picture of the problem.

 

It seems like the metal that holds the sunroof pulley has sheard. The worm threads all work fine.

 

Is this fixable.

 

Check out the piccy.

 

The smaller bit it sheard off from is the bit thats attached to the worm thread .

I doubt this is fixable.

 

You will have to find a replacement sunroof.....which may be easier to replace anyway.

you might be able to pot rivet it back together?????or maybe a weld of some sort,other wise find a doner sunroof and spend a weekend removing the roof lining and EVERYTHING.there are very detailed instructions on this in the faqs or do a search on here i have had t replace the sunroof on my old mk 1,mmmmm a job i loved doing.
