Liam Eyres Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 When i start the my Ford Galaxy there is a squealing sound for about a second then it stops, if i go over a speed bump or a pot hole in the road the same squealing sound happens, in the last 3 weeks i have had the cam belt changed, auxilary belt changed and tensioner but the problem still persists as you could imagine this gets very irritating. I have recently spoken to a mechanic and he told me "the noise was coming from near the gear box on the left-hand side of the engine", he reccommened changing the starter motor but this will mean more money spent and is still not a certainty. Regards, Liam Quote
Richard gal Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Cannot think the starter motor has any contact when not actually starting itt Quote
