Hi Guys,Hope you guys can help quickly.Just picked up my 2.2 yesterday with the wrong instruction book,on the way home my wife was playing with the radio and said were is the DAB setting?(no dab logo on the radio)Thought it was standerd on the Ghia?

The car was a demo (6miles) never used says the salesman,and was first registerd on the 22/07/09,my question is has this car been sitting in a yard for over a year before it was registerd as 2008 cars never came with DAB.

The car has leather seats as an extra,it also has sun blinds on the 2nd and 3rd row are these extras or standerd?also has 3rd row aircon.

My worry is that I tow a caravan and that when the Mk3 came out the towball limit was only 75kg (no god to man nor beast) but the latest ones have a 90kg limit.

One other thing does anyone know how to read a VIN number?I looked up the net for a free VIN check and the number is not reconised.

75kg is quite a lot....how big is your caravan ?

 

Also I would take the 90kg limit with a pinch of salt anyway.

My van is a Baily Arizona about 1300kg,the nose weight is a pain to get right my mk2 had a limit of 80kg so i could get to that.90kg with mk3 gives a bit of leeway.

Turns out my car is a 2008.5 build so I am in the clear

Be interested to know what you paid and from where, since I'm still in the market for second hand Galaxy.

I got my 2.2 in September 2008. It doesn't have DAB. I also have the blinds for the 2nd & 3rd rows, which I never asked for. I assumed it was just another upgrade from Ford for the 2008.5 model. I have been assured that this is definitely an optional extra that should have been paid for. The dealer said some Galaxies around that time were beign received with these fitted. His explanation is that Ford may have run out of "ordinary" doors when my car was made, so I got a lucky free upgrade. This could help to narrow down when your car was manufactured. Evidence being... No DAB, free door blinds; possibly a Jul-Sep 08 model.
