A couple of my alloy wheels are scuffed and showing signs of corrosion under the laquer. Has anyone got any suggestions on getting them refurbed. I'm considering getting Chips Away to sort them out or even having them shot blast and re-finished. Has anyone ever had this done / is the finish as good as the manfacturers.

Here is one of the companies I'm considering: http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk

I had the same problem. To save money, you could do the job yourself. I did 15months ago and they still look ok and i'm no spray painter. Its quite easy and rewarding. Remember to let each coat dry before applying the next. The inner wheel cover ( see the last post piture). Ensure that the FORD GALAXY logo is well covered. One last thing, remove grease from alloy before spraying and mask of the tyre. Good luck.

Forgot to add, for the bad scuffs, use filler. Dont use too much though. Then rub done with fine wet and dry
