Batt Voltage

Hi since i had car engine running voltage to batt has been 13.5/6 is this normal, all cars ive had show 14/14.5 volts but then this is a galaxy!!no probs all winter an now..is it alternator or a gal thing, new batt about 14 months ago showing 12.2 with volt meter..thanks.

Check your meters calibration before you jump to conclusions.

 

Battery with engine running 1500 rpm+, no heavy electrical loads should go to 14.3 volts +/- 0.3 volts.

 

Fully charged battery, rested (1 hour) should be 12.8 volts

 

I suspect your meter is not reading right.
