carl.pearce Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 hi, My Dad changed my rear brake padswell the passenger side and could not do drivers rear, so I called a mobile mechanic who came out took off the caliper and fitted pads etc brakes work but we get a STOP warning light brake fault, service manual, and the ABS warning light comes on, a garage told me it's the ABS sensor and it would cost Quote
Bigjeeze Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 If it is the sensor then you will need to repair replace it as without it the ABS will not work - that in the event of an accident could prejudice any claim. It does sound like the sensor - Quote

gregers Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 First thing I would do is get the mecanic back and get him to sort it (FOC) as seems he has broke it, (I assume it was ok before?)Then when he has rectified the proble (as his cost) DON'T USE HIM AGAIN Radiotwo i would tend to agree with radio 2 here. RADIOTWO Posted July 27, 2009 Report Posted July 27, 2009 Sorry, no it was my Dad who broke it, by prizing it off as the new brake pads we bought about 6mths ago and never checked didn't come with the sensor attached. ABS Sensors don't come with brake pads, they are on the hubs ! Radiotwo Quote
