gregers Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 really?have i got that wrong then steve?i thought the general consensus was to stop the seal from flipping hence the reason you had to undo the nipple,or is this only for the fronts? Quote

Hi Gregers As the other poster says I have never undone the nipple on both front or back, and this busness of the "seals flipping" is a myth ! think about how the brakes work ! you push the pedal down and the fluid goes down the pipe to force the pistons out to operate the brakes, then you release the pedal, and the fluid goes back, so movement in both directions ! I have so many times of people who hafter they have changed the pads, then cannot get a good pedal, when asked what they did there answer is "I undid the nipple" and have got air into the system. Ok if you are flushing the system, I never undo it Radiotwo Quote
