Stop Brake Fault Service Manual

I have serached on here and havent found an answer for this so was woundering how others fixed it.

Was driving along at about approx 25mph in my wifes alhambra when Stop Brake Fault Service Manual lights up on the dash and the handbrake light flashes. The wife says "oh yea its done that a few times" (thanks for telling me I thinks) about 15 seconds later it does the same, this lasts the rest of the journey home (3 mins at max)

now I know the pads and discs are not low as I only put them on about 9 months ago. The abs light is working ok and the abs is still working, just the handbrake light flased.

any body any ideas?
