tedwards Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Can any body help, I have a 1997 Gal Ghia X where the cd changer is now dead. Tried to get a replacement on Ebay with no luck yet, but notice loads of FORD 6000 RDS CD PLAYER's and the like. Question is - can I fit this unit into my Galaxy? looks much bigger than the 2007 radio cassette fitted as standard. Thanks. Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 2007 is a single din sized unit and the 6000 is a double din sized unit, so it wont fit without a lot of work! your best bet is to get another single din sized head unit that plays CD's or is capable of runing a multi changer like your existing set up Quote
Dally Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 nimrod Just for info....the 6000 series and family of audio equipment is much bigger than standard din size and as you say, it won't fit in a 2007 standard slot BUT it is not double din - it is actually about a din and a half.Regards Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 I knew it was a lot larger but not sure exactly on the size, so I added a bit to be sure <_< its a shame the audio guide does not give dimensions as well as how to turn the thing on! Quote
Mussey1 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 What size is the 2007 + the storage tray underneath? Is that double din?? Mussey1. Quote
