Altair Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 Hello, Quick one. I have a new ford galaxy bought December last year (2.2 TDCi). 2 months ago (approx 5000 miles) the service light and Oil Service came on. Service completed and no problems. Yesterday (approx 1000 miles) the Service oil message came on (no spanner light). I have tried to reset using the depress brake an accelerator pedals key to position 2 and press ok on the steering wheel. I get the message warning reset then warning comes back almost instantly. I am in belgium and reluctant to go to the garage here as they are truly awfull, I am back in the UK in 3 weeks and just wondered is it a sensor issue or a software update required as this is very quick for an oil service. Thanks for your help (in advance). Quote
sparky Paul Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 What's the oil level like? You might get a better response in the MKIII section, the MKI/II cars discussed here are completely different build. http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showforum=175 Quote

Altair Posted July 5, 2009 Author Report Posted July 5, 2009 Tried again this morning with a clearer head. Discovered that with the bonnett open the reset works as it should. Thanks to all that helped. Quote
