Hello everybody.

I have a problem with my 1.9tdi 115 Galaxy.

When it's idling the engine is vibrating all over the place, if you open the door it shakes up and down it's that bad.

I have checked the engine mounts and roll restrictor at the rear and they all seem to be ok.

I think that it could be the DMF or gearbox but i'm not sure which.

If you put your foot on the clutch the vibration changes slightly but not by much.

Has anybody else experienced these symptoms ?

sounds like the dual mass flywheel. mine's an 03 mk2 and it did exactley the same . if its the original flywheel you will have to change the clutch because they've been modified. hope this helps.

Thanks for that. I was hoping it would be the flywheel rather than the gearbox. The annoying thing is that when on the move it drives perfectly ok.
