Anyone Have A Tuning Box Fitted? Advice Needed

Hi,

 

bought a used tuning box from ebay for my (non pd) Alhambra Tdi which came with no instructions and a long black wire as well as the multi plugs that go between the fuel pump.

 

Its pretty obvious where the multi plug goes but where does the long single black wire go to?? is it to the MAF sensor ? and if so which wire ???

 

Its just a long single black wire with a spade connector on the end (although previous owner could have fitted another wire onto this to save cutting into it!). Have emailed the previous owner on ebay many times with no reply so hoping someone here has a tuning box fitted and can advise me.

Do a search on head gasket failure and overheating, then enjoy your "tuning box".

Seriously, if you value your engine and want to keep it a long time, forget about the tuning box.

I'm with Seatkid on this. If you have a Galaxy and want extra performance, either you motor isn't working as it should or you really don't want a Galaxy.

 

If you really do want to go ahead with this thing, If it's black, it's usually -ve or chassis. Plug it in and see if there's any voltage on it. If it is a -ve, it may just be a supplemental ground connection so it may run without it.
