lch05 Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 Hi all, my first post on this forum. I have a mk2 galaxy 2001 model (2.3).The problem I have is the wiper blades keep on getting stuck on the windscreen, at low speed/using the intermittent switch. At full speed, they glide against the windscreen with no problems. Has anybody got any advice what could be wrong?I was wondering if its a power problem. Thanks for any help :) Quote
seatkid Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 The mechanism is probably partly seized up. Read FAQ 45, 60, and 68 all about it and what to do. Quote
NikpV Posted June 18, 2009 Report Posted June 18, 2009 same symptoms - same age car - partly seized linkage - specificlly spindles --- although the mechanical advantage from motor to wipers must be huge since i still needed to pound spindles out .. could not move them by hand could only just tap them around with a hammer Quote
