skippy 2 Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 Hi I have just changed my gear box oil as i have the problem of gears not changing, normally 1st to 2nd this has not solved the problem. Someone mentioned a filter, where would this be on the gearbox. I have a galaxy 2.8 ghia vr6. Also they mentioned about a very large nut to drain all of the gear box oil out apart from the drain on the gear box sump. Is this large nut on the front of the engine just above the oil filter as this is the only one i know of. Thanks for any help it would be apreciated. Quote
Steven.Langdale Posted June 17, 2009 Report Posted June 17, 2009 You need to drop the sump to get to the filter. Steven Quote

I may take the car to auto box specialist for diagnostics as this has been bugging me for some time. I can put up with the gears but have problems going up hills as the gears wont change. Quote
