Remote Locking

According to the handbook you should be able to remote lock and raise open windows, sunroof etc by holding onto the locking 'button' on the remote key.

 

The only way to do this is to insert the key into the lock and turn and hold

 

Its never worked for me, anyone else who can confirm or deny this

Works OK from both the remote & door locks on my '97 Ghia X

Remote closure of windows and roof was removed for 98 or 99 model year and only works with the key in the door. This was to ensure that the driver was watching the car to ensure no trapped limbs etc in the closing windows. Although the windows do have sensors to help stop trapping they can still severly hurt a young child if his arm or head is in the way. A number of vehicle manufacturers had injuries occur and made this change.
