More help needed!!!!

I have a 51 plate Galaxy 1.9 Tdi Zetec. Have had little luck at Frauds so I thought I would try on here!!!

A couple of days ago my Coolant warning light flashed on sending me into total panic. I pulled over to find no water in the header tank and so trudged my way to the nearest garage to obtain top up. All was well again after topping up and I returned home. After much mucking about, jacking up the car and removing under tray to locate leak, I found the hose running across the TOP of the engine had a hole in!!! It would appear it is normally clipped to the bulkhead (clip had broken off). This had caused the hose to rub on a metal clip, causing a hole. I temporarily patched to keep her running (as the second clip to get it off is a right pig!!!) and toddled off to Frauds to obtain a new one!! Can of Worms!!!!!!!!! There are hundreds of hoses (their words), you will need a part number mate!!! The hose i need runs at the top of the engine bay as you look in, across the back of the plastic cover and has a material wrap around part of it (not sure if this is standard!). Any help gratly appreciated!!!

(Why no Haynes for 2001 onwards????)

VW will probably be cheaper. Check out vagcat.com. (You'll need to register(Free))

PS anyone who's seen me give similar advice before, NO, I don't work for vagcat.

I've just found it a God send :)

Register with Vagcat.com and go into the catalog.

Remember that you actually have a VW Sharan 2001

Go onto Engine/Clutch and then onto water cooling ( for your engine )

You should find the part from the diagram.

This should easily be obtainable from a VW dealer.
