driving down a duel carrageway this evening pressed the accellorator down and it felt like it didnt want to rev,i assumed this is limp home mode???.it slowly got up past 60mph but there defo was hesitation arrived at my destination,was there a couple of hours started up again and lo and behold working fine quick off the mark(yes i know its a derv :) )went past 70 no probs,

what do you experts think it was/could be??

i dunno what im meant to be searching for or what hence this post.

nah that would be too easy,will do hopefully tommoroz,just wondered if someone might know what the problem could be.

The fact that it went OK after a restart would suggest it had beed in limp mode. You will need to check for error codes which will be stored from this occurance. As I'm sure you're aware since you're not new on here :) it could be any one of about 50000000 things.

Dodgy brake or clutch switch....possibly sticking.

CERTAINLY AINT THE 3RD ONE <_ cheeky git.>

 

its been behaving it self today accelarating like it should,so ill wait till the weekend before pluging in the vag,from what i have read on here over the years about limp home mode i was thinking it didnt rev above a certain point?and you were virtually stuck at below 40mph,with mine lastnight it slowly crept up past 6OMPH(MMMM).once i restarted it was free reving like it should,as ive never suffered anything like this before i have to put down to the so called gremlins that infect the galaxys from time to time.
