jvernon Posted March 22, 2004 Author Report Posted March 22, 2004 tanx for the replies. the reason i want t o know is because my gal keeps on cutting out and i wanted to see if it was fuel related or the Crank Position Sensor. Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 What are the circumstances when it cuts out? is there a regularity to its occurance? Quote
jvernon Posted March 23, 2004 Author Report Posted March 23, 2004 both times i was not far from home, the last time it shuddered and all cylinders cut out then it picked up again. sometimes it does the shuddering thing when i am driving and doesn't cut out. It's a mystery <_< Quote
jvernon Posted March 24, 2004 Author Report Posted March 24, 2004 i am taking the under shield off at the weekend to have a look at the crank angle sensor and it's wiring. wish me luck <_< Quote
jasper Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 This may help, i have attached a symptoms I gave to my garage back in 2000. The result was a dry joint on one of the power relays, Quote
charles Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 relay 30 refers to the number on the relay. it's the ignition relay. relay no 167 activates the fuel pump. see your drivers manual. the plastic cap of the relay can be removed. check the connections and special the contact points. they can be oxydated. spray with contactcleaner or replace with a new one.
