Where & What Is Relay 30

I have a 1999 2.8 Ghia X galaxy and i can not find relay 30 in my manual or in the haynes. i was wondering if somebody could tell me what and where relay 30 is.

It does not exist (on your car) - it is a figment of your imagination :huh:

 

Do you mean Fuse 30? (3A) - rear licence and tail gate lamps....

I would say relay K4 or K70 Fuel pump relay, bottom row RHD side but thats only a guess not knowing why your are looking for it or what your problem is?

tanx for the replies. the reason i want t o know is because my gal keeps on cutting out and i wanted to see if it was fuel related or the Crank Position Sensor.

What are the circumstances when it cuts out? is there a regularity to its occurance?

both times i was not far from home, the last time it shuddered and all cylinders cut out then it picked up again. sometimes it does the shuddering thing when i am driving and doesn't cut out. It's a mystery <_<

i am taking the under shield off at the weekend to have a look at the crank angle sensor and it's wiring. wish me luck <_<

This may help, i have attached a symptoms I gave to my garage back in 2000. The result was a dry joint on one of the power relays,

relay 30 refers to the number on the relay. it's the ignition relay. relay no 167 activates the fuel pump. see your drivers manual. the plastic cap of the relay can be removed. check the connections and special the contact points. they can be oxydated. spray with contactcleaner or replace with a new one.
