wizardcooper Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I've had my galaxy for a few weeks now and has been good to drive. But a couple days back the rear wiper was on wiping every few secs or so. now i cant turn the thing off. Tried pressing the stalk towards the dash to turn off but nothing. if i press it further towrds it then i get the jet spray working and the wiper going full speed. I even tried to stop it by holding the blade because it says if there is an obstruction then will turn off. Which it did stop but as soon as i start the engine again then the wiper is moving again. Was alright today because it was raining when i was out n about lolAny help or suggestions much appreciated. Quote
gregers Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 the rubber boot at the top of the hatch when you open is the prime suspect, the wires and pulled so tight that they fray and snapped, this is a known issue that has been posted numerous times on here, hth. Quote
wizardcooper Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 (edited) Thanks for that. I will take a look and see what I can see.Just one more quick question. Is there a fuse I could pull out that will stop it or would that disable all the wipers etc. (tis a y reg ghia 1.9tdi mkii if that makes any diff to the fuse box.)
