hi again' recently bought a manual galaxy 1.9 tdi and ive noticed that gear selection can be a bit--

lets say 'clunky' having only driven german saloons in the past and not used to the car does the galaxy

suffer with linkage problems?

Also having my abs light come on and stay on/leave an hour and come back to the car and start it up

and it goes off- as it should! does the galaxy suffer with abs sensor or abs unit probs!? :(

my galaxy does suffer a bit going up the box 1st to 2nd and to 3rd, going down gear is sweet, ive just put some dexron 3 in the gearbox and its not quite so bad, i dont think the sensors have issues but saying that ive just replaced 2 !!!

Yes, sensor issues can appear, the wiring may start to break internally over time, usually near the plug up in the wheelarch especially if the cable strain relief support has broken. I fixed mine with a zip tie and soldered the wiring.
