steve67car Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 think you will find its a vw changer easy way is if its mini iso in the top of the normal iso block its vw or if its a seperate changer port its ford post a picture of the back and i will confirm which you need regards steve Quote
Goofygolfer Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 it is indeed a vw changer, i believe any vw changer will fit providing it has a 12 pin rectangle connector, the wiring should be in place under the cubby hole where the changer sits. just remove the cover to the jack compartment and it should be visible above the wheel arch. The Head unit is the Blaupunkt used by Vw and Ford but the changer is a Ford one im sure Yes cable is in the rear but it has male plug on it my last Gal had a Female plug so it has changed The Unit is ISO on rear with row of 3 x mini ISO plugs in seperate socket not all in one big plug its not Quadlock This will give audio out for amp telephone in aux in Cd control on blue plug So Changer is specific for that model / Year :-( Regards Ian Edited May 19, 2009 by ALARM MAN Quote

Richard gal Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 I fitted a changer in my car (factory fit sat nav and no changer), the cable already there was no good, it needed a new cable to the head unit, i will try to get the part numbers. Quote
ALARM MAN Posted July 11, 2009 Author Report Posted July 11, 2009 (edited) Ok Finally no thanks to Ford for this I was doing a job at my local garage and he brought a Scoda in for a cambelt change It was a top model leather etc but guess what had the same sat nav unit fitted with cd changer Pulled car apart boot mounted changer Part no VW 1J6 035 111 at last sortd from Fleabay loads aroundI have sourced a lead from Fleabay so i will have to run new cable to boot and replace old Ford cableIs blue mini iso plug to VW plug this is the reason Ford could not do it Sat nav was VW Based and hastely slung into Ford as an option but made Changers obsolete due to incompatability in plugs and leads Ian ;) Edited July 11, 2009 by ALARM MAN Quote
