Batteries only affect remote central locking, not the PATS chip.

that i know ;) ,the reason for asking wether the batteries have been changed is the fact the pats key falls out without the owner realizing,countless posts on the subject,and if you havnt done so well worth remembering to glue the chip to the inside of the key.
