Guest j_mchattie Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Im really no expert, but from the things i have read i can make a few assumptions. The vibration on pulling away could either be your engine mounts or the connection between the engine and exhaust (which is sprung) http://www.btinternet.com/~madmole/Referen...n%20Pull%20away Mondeos have a problem with first to second, mines done 134K and theres no abnormal problems yet, thuds usually mean bearings (crank shaft big end for instance - this wont be your problem, youd know if that had happened!). Apart from that, cant help. As for the cold tick, oil types can change this. http://www.btinternet.com/~madmole/Referen...0oil%20problems I used to have a 1990 fiesta, believe me - that ticked!
