Steve2106 Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Hi There,I am looking for some advice and I am hoping you can help me.I have had my Galaxy 2.4 Auto for about 11 years. It's been a very good car but now I am having trouble with the gearbox. Every now and then it seems to get locked in sports mode, as if I have kicked down on the accelerator. It will not change gear until in the high reves.Yesterday it started not changing out of 2nd gear. Does anyone know what this could be. I really appreciate your help. Best Regards, Steve. Quote
bigdaddy Posted May 5, 2009 Report Posted May 5, 2009 Hi steve, it could be anything from low fuild to faulty software, I think your best bet would be to visit a specialist gearbox repairer, you could try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins (do you have your radio code) as this sometimes resets the ecu's and it may fix the auto box ecu. cheersJames p.s your engine is a 2.3 not a 2.4 Quote
Steve2106 Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 Hi James,Thanks for the reply. I do have the radio code so I'll try that first and then if no luck I'll try the gearbox specialist. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it. Best Regards, Steve.
