smokie Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 hi on my 52 plate galaxy to remove the middle seat i do the following 1) remove the seat belt out of the way. 2) get it the boot i.e behind the middle seat. 3) as you look at the seat on the right handside you should see a little lever its near the seat base 4) pull this little lever up and the seat back should fold down onto the seat. 5)look under the seat and there should be a red strap give this a good tug and this should release the rear catches on the seat allowing the seat to tip foward - push it right foward, you might need to have the front seats foward and the headrest on the middle seat pushed right down. 6) with the seat tipped right foward you should now see the front 2 catches and there will be 2 bars running between them basically put your hand round both and squeeze them together this should release the 2 front catches - keeping them squeezed together pull the seat up and it should come out.the seats are quite heavy and awkward to move get some help if you can you don't want to damage anything when you take it out of the car. Do you not have the handbook for the car? this is all in there i think, if you havent got one try and get one off ebay or a breakers somewhere.Good Luck getting that seat out. Quote
