If you are planning to run a tap through them, I would have a very careful look at the threads. If they have been crossed and you recut them, they will be weakened. Any doubts at all and the hub should be replaced... I have seen previously damaged hubs that have been helicolied, but I'm not sure I would fancy that idea... Quote
