Ok so nothing exiting here, just a new set of RS6 style wheels for my Galaxy.

Going for 18" wheels as there's some pretty good deals out there.

I'll post details fo where I get them from and photos after I order them / get them.

Post a picture, I have the same wheels as that, make sure you put some -50mm lowered springs on to make them look even better ! Check out the other posts relating to these wheels, I got mine from: www.alloywheels.com Edited by jkspoff

Got the wheels from Rochford Tyres, aka alloywheels.com. Got a good deal and a discount through this forum, cheers Mirez!

The tyres are Fullrun extra load, 95W. Time will tell how well they last. I adjusted the tracking on the NSF as the old tyres were very worn on the inside. I just guessed at a bit more toe in and now the steering wheel is straight again.

As for lowering springs, I'm not going down that route for several reasons. I tow a caravan, 23 feet! and go camping a lot fully loaded.

Also I take my son to the local motocross track and the track up to it is about 1.5 miles and is really only suitable for 4X4s! The Galaxy does a good job with the motocrosser on a rear rack and has only bottomed out one, ouch!

I did notice when changing the wheels that the exhaust is literally about to fall off!

Looking good, nice choice ! Agree with you for not getting it lowered if you tow a caravan etc, but the back end looks lower than usual anyway on yours, have you got a boot full of junk, or is it just that the rear springs are more compressed with lots of towing ?

Wow huge difference mate, think they actually suit the Mk1 a little better! Glad you are pleased
