koro Posted March 20, 2009 Report Posted March 20, 2009 Hi, Have repaced the rear pads on the near side ok. The drivers side, whilst using a G - clamp, the piston will not go in....turns ok with a pipe grip on. I know this is prob not the best way to go about it, but hey you know... The bleed nipple feels like it would shear off if I try to undo it. Any sugestions? Cheers Mark Quote

torvil Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Try using some heat from a blow torch on the bleed nipple to expand the metal. Should come off in addition to the WD40. Quote

Leave the bleed nipple alone, if its getting too full open a different one! I managed to turn the calipers in with some long nose pliers! Quote
mictop Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Sorry to hijack the post but for some reason I cant start a new topic, but I need to do the rear pads on my 1.9 2003 galaxy the pads that are on have a sensor (I have checked there is a wire going to the pad) but H**fords say that they dont have a sensor fitted to the pad it is a seperate push in wire. Are they correct I have this problem with there parts supply before ie stripping car down and finding they have supplied the wrong part. Thanks for any replies Mike Quote
