Guest nimrod Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 If you look down into the dark depths of the engine bay :o under the coil pack on the top of the gear box, you will see the switch your after! its not easy to get to! best bet is to remove the coil pack to give you enough space to get your arm into! :o the switch is held in place by two spring clips once you have found the switch unplug the connector and pop the clips :o sounds easy but its not! I will dig out the ford part number and post a picture of the switch, so you have some idea of what your looking for! Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Finis code is 1012013 not sure of the price as the guy screwed up and only invoiced me for two of the three parts i ordered and the switch wasnt one of the parts i payed for! :o Quote
Guest nimrod Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 the problem with the switch is that the pin in the gear box that operates the plunger on the switch is pointed and made of metal! the plunger on the switch is plastic and wears aways, meaning that its not getting full travel when operated and therefore wont make the switch :o have read elsewhere about removeing the pin and sticking a thin washer behind it to extend it to operate the switch better! but either way as the switch has to come off you may as well replace it!
