oafcowl Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Just replaced the front suspension struts/link bars again!!. This must be the 4th pair in 2 years!! I know the roads are terrible in my part of the country but suerly they should last longer, I can change them in my sleep now!!! Nice and quiet over bumps again now, no knocking and banging as if the front end of the car is about to drop off!! Quote

However the Ford ones I've now fitted have been on over 40,000 without a problem. IIRC They cost me Quote
mictop Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Just replaced the same on my Galaxy new top mounts, shocks, and links but there is still a clanging noise when going over bumps any body got anymore ideas (all changed for mot but annoyed it hasn't cured the fault). There was alot of play in the o/s top bush, that.s why I went down this path Mike Quote

mictop Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 No play in them it is going for mot today so I will know from them as regards to the condition, but I have checked them over there dosn't seem to be any play in them. Just a tip for anybody else who has to remove the struts after trying for 2 hours to remove the top nut I phoned the dealers and a new plate cost Quote
