Have just had a tow bar fitted to the back of my Galaxy which has reversing sensors.

It is not a detachable one.

Now the reversing sensors permanently detect the tow bar which is a pain both from the point of view that they don't work and also they make a horrible noise!

I have tried disconnecting the centre sensors, but all this gives is a fault condition and the sensor still does not work and still makes a noise!

Any ideas?

Do a search on the topic its been covered a few times! IIRC you can get the reverseing sensors programed to ignore the tow bar or not work when the caravan/trailer lighting plugs are plugged in

also IIRC some has mentioned about bending the power/lighting sockets up out of the way as they were being picked up by the sensors due to where they were positioned!
