Brake Pedal Go's Down

my brake pedal go's slowly down to the floor when i put my foot on the it when the engine is started it doesnt do it when the engine is not runing i changed the master cylinder and still the same is there anything else it could be Edited March 5, 2009 by j0nesy

Sounds like you've flipped the seals in the master cylinder even though you've replaced it.

I think you need to re bleed the brakes again - If that doesn't help then check out the brake servo - If the brake pedal is hard when the engine isn't running the hydraulics must be OK - You might still have air in the system particularly in the ABS system pump. Edited March 6, 2009 by Bigjeeze

the pedal is hard when the engine is not running as soon as you start the engine the pedal go's to the floor

the brakes do work to a point as long as you dont need to stop fast your ok but i aint driveing it as you never no when you need to stop fast

Buy yourself a pressure bleeder and bleed all four corners until the clean fluid comes out.

 

The Gunson's Eezi-Bleed is cheap and very effective. Make sure you partially deflate the tyre supplying the air though or you may pop the seals out.
