Guest Members Asking Questions?

Hi - long time no speaky. Hope you are all doing and feeling well. :D

 

I'm curious - are guests able to ask questions without joining or is it that they never became full members because they didn't post much?

 

One of my pet hates is that some ingrate comes on a forum asking for help - therefore involving the membership in their problem, then not bothering to follow up with any fix they found - if any. I refer to this thread in particular:

I do beleive this is an error in the forum setup, I will look at the permission fields and fix

Just looked at permissions and now I am confused as guests cannot post :unsure:

looked at some of this before - somehow these are ex members who posted when full members and somehow trransmuted into guests - not sure how that happens but I did check up on some of these a long time ago

wasnt a few of them banned by glen for you know what a couple of years back,but as there posts still stand in the archives etc there tagged as guests???? Edited March 5, 2009 by gregers

Wouldn't proper "guests" be anonymous as they would have no means of inputting their names.

 

Therefore the group guests could not exist as such.

 

Therefore it has been created for whatever reason.

 

Suggest ignoring it as unimportant except to Admin and Glen.
