Injector Faults

Just a heads up, a couple of weeks ago my 1.8tdci gal broke down with the engine fault light on. The fault was identified as 4 injector faults. Turns out this is a known issue and is subject to a recall notice.

 

Has anyone had a recall about this? If so when was it dated?

 

Also there is a recall for a gearbox mount, anyone seen this?

Not seen them two but will keep an eye out.

 

Only recalls I have seen are:

 

Fuel line......may disconnect from tank...whoooosh!

 

Heated windscreen.....not earthed properly....possible fire risk!

 

Panoramic Roof.....may not actually be attached to the car.....hmm!

 

Brakes....may not work properly in cold weather....oops !

Thanks. I did get the recall about the windscreen but the dealer is avoiding giving me the specific dates of the recalls for the gearbox mounting and injector loom. Although I'm being told they are recent.

 

Considering the number of day's I have had off the road and the nature of this fault I took a look under the bonnet and found 5 clips hanging off all allowing pipes or wires to float free and chaff and that is after the dealer has been in there. One was a clip for one of the battery leads, another potential for a fire then.
