Gasket

I have bin trying to get thermostat housing gasket for my 2.3 fords dont list them ,so went to my local moter spares shop they dont list it dos enyone no were i can get one if not would a home made one do with gasket paper and hylomar universal blue gasket and jointing compound?? Thanks

Dont know about ford engine but all the vw engines use reuseable O rings on things like thermostat housings...
