andymet Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 HiSome nice bar steward nudged my rear bumper while the car was parked and pushed it in on the left side and put a green stripe along the length. There is no external damage to the bumper and the paint will tee cut out. Only problem is that the left side was unclipped and hanging down. I pushed it in at the side but it still seems loose at the side and there is a slight gap between bumper and body. I've read the post on how to remove the rear bumper but before I could anyone tell me if there any replaceable clips or is it likely my bumper is scrap. It has a detachable towbar fitted and I think some brackets have to be removed to fit that. Can anyone confirm? Andy Met Quote
suzuki91 Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 i have repaired a friends sharon with this type of damage. to remove the bumper skin takes a few minutes, see links on this site. then you may find the plastic fixings are broken? i repaired these with the car body repair stuff with the glass fibre mix. if the bumper is bent out of shape, add heat with a heat gun for just a short time and it goes back to shape.replace bumper and jobs done.
