WoodleySaint Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Hi all, My wife has a 1.9 TDI 98 plate Galaxy which she uses mainly for the school run. On mornings when the ambient temp is around freezing and after the car has done the 1.5 miles and is stationery exhaust fumes billow from what I believe is the aux heater system. The smoke is very thick and my nippers all complain. (My wife is embarrassed it's that bad, she says it looks like it's on fire!) Is this normal or does someting need replacing? Thanks in advance for any help/advice provided. Cheers Mark Quote
insider Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Could just need a good clean out and the glow plug replaced if this has never been done. There should be plenty of information on here about how to do this. Quote
