Puzzled - How Do I Replace The Bulb?

If anyone can help me i'd be grateful.

 

It's taken me at least an hour but i've finally managed to work out how to get at the bulb behind the heating controls on the fascia, above the radio. Having done that i could'nt work out how to get the bulb out? I've tried pushing it and turning it but no success. (it looks like a tiny bulb in a plastic surround, there is what looks to be a clip holding it in place) Then i managed to shatter it when i put too much pressure on the bulb! ^_^

 

What bulb do i need? How do i fit the bulb (do i need to take the fascia off and then remove the panel? Or is it simply a case of fitting a bulb in the same place?)
