chromedome Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 My aux heater is intermittent and I think it may be the External Temperature Sensor. I've done a search but I can't work out where it is. Could someone please tell me where it is and what I have to do to get to it. A picture would also help because I haven't got a clue what the sensor looks like. Thanks in advance. Quote
gaznlou Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 The temperature sensor for the booster heater is near the wiper motor.RegardsGaz Quote
chromedome Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Posted November 26, 2008 Thanks for the info, can you tell me how to gain access to the wiper motor. Do I have to remove both wiper arms and remove all the plastic trim? Quote
seatkid Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Its dangles in a clip in front of the pollen filter Quote
chromedome Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Posted November 26, 2008 Even with my glasses on  I can't even see the pollen filter. Which side of the engine bay is it and what do I need to remove to see it? Thanks again. Quote
chromedome Posted November 26, 2008 Author Report Posted November 26, 2008 Thanks seatkid, I now know where to look. I'll report back with the results. Quote
chromedome Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 I've got to wait another day, the dealership parts department ordered the wrong part even though I took the old one with me for comparison. Quote
chromedome Posted December 2, 2008 Author Report Posted December 2, 2008 Part eventually arrived and is now fitted, 10 minutes. Aux heater fires up fine and temperature now stays steady. Thanks for the help given. Quote

chromedome Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 Yes I thought It might hit a few raw nerves  However for info this was my symptons. Firstly no jet engine. Secondly the temperature guage would suddenly drop. This could last anything from minutes to days. It cost Quote
