Problem With My Heater

help please

my heater in me gal is not working right?

it will work fine in position 3&4 but not in 1&2

if i turn my heater up to position 3/4 & then back down to position 1/2 the Air Con comes on?

can someone help me please

Sounds like the resistor pack on the heater module. I think it's located on the side of the heater behind the glove box, a red or green module I think. Do a search.

Hey, Did you get this problem resolved. It is uncanny as I have got exactly the same problem on my 2003 TDi Galaxy.

 

Is this resister panel visible or do we have to dismantle anything?
