Hi

Just check on TIS data and it doesnt mention a damper for your TDI so my guess is no damper.

Only mentions the timing belt tensioner just standard timing belt change.

Update to my previose quote.

The damper is a Hydrolic tensioner that was fitted to some models however it metions on TIS that yours has a hydrolic tensioner and in that case yes your TDI has a damper/hydrolic tensioner.

But TIS does not mention anything about changing it but the belts might be different so I would suggest that you get one for vehicle with damper.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

just a word of caution here, mazda have fitted hydraulic dampers in the past and when changing the belt

you have to pay carefull attention to the damper piston, if there are slight traces of oil in the vicinity of the piston

it is possible that it has lost some or all of its oil and will not damp correctly,
