Master Cylinder

hi all

I have been workin on the car today, but i cant remove the whiteish clips on the clutch master cylinder were it connects to the pedal (Metal ball section), there is no room under there...to sqeeze them together, The master is just hanging inside the car !! ;)

What other options have i got, can i remove the pedal and then the cylinder off that.

I have got the connections off the engine bay and undone both bolts inside the car.
